The main aim of this blog is to allow me to share my wildlife and adventure photographs with like minded individuals. As well as birding and wildlife photography,
I also enjoy mountain walking especially in winter, so expect some ramblings.
I managed to join the Waxwing party today, as 12 Waxwings were still present in Stoney Stanton by the school on Station Road. It was made even better as the sun was out and the skies were perfect.
Spot on Carl, they are the kind of images I was hoping for, unfortunately the weather was always grey when I had a day off. We don't seem to get much sun or blue slies up here! It was only a matter of time before the Waxwings filtered down your way - we've none now! Enjoy them.
Yes, I was really lucky with the weather. For years I've not quite got the photos I wanted - bad weather, sun in the wrong place, poor background, Mistle Thrushes bullying them etc etc. There were 19 of them present today, but I didn't have a lot of time, as I had too much on at work. I did see Rid there though, so there's a good chance some more Waxwings shots will be on his blog later - OWLS about that then - see Bag's Links
Cracking images Carl.
